Public Safety Signal Boosters & Fiber DAS that Enhance In-Building Emergency Responder Radio Communications

Introduction

Fiplex by Honeywell ERCES - BDA & Fiber DAS Hands-on Certification Training - Level 2 (ILT)

FREE Class

Two days of Instructor-led training. The class starts with a review of the Online Level 1 material followed by hands-on exercises with a 700/800 BDA. While similar, any differences between the 700/800 BDA and the VHF/UHF BDA and the Fiber DAS products are highlighted. Demonstration of the BBU and its configuration software is presented. The hands-on continues with the setup and use of a TAIT handset and Rigol Spectrum Analyzer. Finally, how to perform an RF site survey is presented with the aid of a PCTEL scanner.

Manufacturer Certification in ERCES Installation
Certification Discount on new PCTEL Site Survey Equipment purchase

Equipment and Prerequisites

Each attendee must have completed BDA & Fiber DAS Phase 1 Training or ERCES Level 1 Training on My Honeywell Building University – requires completing the modules & passing the Final Exams with a minimum score of 70%
- Completion will be checked the week prior to verify attendance, seat is guaranteed only with Phase 1/Level 1 Completion
Each Company in attendance needs to have purchased at least 1 set of the required Tools/Test Equipment and should bring it to the class if they have received them.
- Spectrum Analyzer
- 1 RF Test Kit
- 1 Radio with programming cable
Please bring a Windows laptop to the class
No requirement to purchase and bring a BDA or Fiber DAS unit to the class. Honeywell will bring the BDA / Fiber DAS units required for training
